Setting out from the inquiry on strategic talent attraction commissioned by the University Board, the Vice-Chancellor invites members of the University to an open seminar to discuss how we can strengthen our position as a world-leading research university.

Uppsala University aims to strengthen its position as a leading international research university. Strong scholarly impact is an indicator of high-quality research and is essential if the University is to consolidate its position as a world-leading university. Recruiting and retaining the best teachers and researchers is a fundamental prerequisite for this. How do we go about it?
Setting out from the inquiry on strategic talent attraction commissioned by the University Board, the Vice-Chancellor invites members of the University to an open seminar to discuss how we can strengthen our position as a world-leading research university. Are we recruiting the best teachers and researchers to Uppsala University? Does the associate senior lecturer position answer the University’s need to attract new talent? Should applying for promotion be a possibility or a right? Do the University’s career paths benefit or hinder the potential to achieve scholarly impact?
