What contribution, if any, can higher education make to our students’ ability to engage in democratic processes? How can it provide them with awareness of and skills for sustainability needs and practices?

Thematic day
Teachers, students, researchers and academic developers are invited to a day
of exciting presentations and workshops. Together with leading experts in
Literature, Higher education pedagogy and Transformative learning, we will explore:
• teaching for collaborative decision making
• education’s role in supporting democracy
• the use of literature to teach sustainability literacy
• teaching students to be intellectually independent
