Uppsala University conference on Sunlight- and Power-to-X

The focus of the conference is the direct conversion of renewable energy into "green" hydrogen production and CO2 valorization, using simple raw materials such as CO2, water, and nitrogen as starting materials.

The conference aims to gather researchers, companies, decision-makers and other stakeholders who are interested in the development of solar fuels, electrofuels and sustainable basic chemicals in Sweden and Europe. Speakers from Swedish and European universities and companies will present research and development initiatives in areas such as electrocatalytic production, artificial photosynthesis, CO2 conversion, and microbial cell factories for production. Basic research, but also scale-up and implementation strategies, future prospects and policy making, will be discussed.

The conference is organized in collaboration with SUNERGY, an open European stakeholder community working for the conversion and storage of renewable energy into fossil-free fuels and chemicals. An important part of the meeting is to highlight R&D policy in this area, in Sweden and the EU.

Participation is free of charge but registration is required.
