Meet VFS – A research support that offers more than funding

Celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, VFS is funded by Uppsala University to promote collaboration between university researchers and external parties. The aim is to enrich research with new perspectives and contribute to its faster application in society.

Once you have registered, you will receive an email with a link to the Zoom meeting. You can register right up until the seminar starts.

About VFS:

A VFS project runs for a maximum of nine months and can be granted funding up to 300,000 SEK. But VFS is more than just a funding form.

With the expert support from the collaboration leaders at UU Innovation Partnership Office VFS allows researchers and external parties to try out – and verify – both how collaborative research works and whether the two respective parties have enough in common to continue collaborating when the project ends. For example, to seek further funding. (Something they can also get help with.)

Applying for VFS funds is always done in consultation with a collaboration leader at UU Innovation Partnership Office. The Innovation Partnership Office provide feedback on the application, ensuring it meets the basic requirements.

You can apply for VFS twice a year, spring and autumn.

The deadlines for the spring application are:

February 1st – the application period opens.

Take the opportunity to discuss your ideas with the collaboration leaders at UU Collaboration and participate in information and inspiration meetings. All information meetings are announced on the Uppsala University internal web calendar and on LinkedIn.

March 14th – deadline for the first draft of the application

April 16th, 5 PM – deadline for the complete application

Mid-June – decisions are announced

September 1st – the project can start
