What does the bill mean for Uppsala University? What opportunities does it offer and what will be most challenging? Vice-Chancellor Anders Hagfeldt invites participants to an open discussion at the first Vice-Chancellor’s seminar of the year.

The seminar is open to staff and students. No prior registration required.
Coffee/tea will be served from 15:00 and the seminar will start at 15:15.
In December, the Swedish Government presented its new research bill, Research and innovation for the future, curiosity and benefit, announcing new funding totalling SEK 6.5 billion. The bill includes funding for excellent research, ground-breaking technology, increased and competitive funding for higher education institutions, research infrastructure and higher allocations to both the Swedish Research Council and Vinnova.

Comments from the Vice-Chancellor and representatives of our disciplinary domains: Medicine and Pharmacy, Science and Technology, and Humanities and Social Sciences.
Concluding remarks by Vice-Chancellor Anders Hagfeldt.
