Dear colleagues,

In the Faculty of Language’ operational plan for 2025, the Board has set aside a total of SEK 250,000 to promote interdepartmental research activities. Faculty staff and researchers, including doctoral students, can apply for grants of up to SEK 25,000. The funds are to be used to organise research activities involving researchers and/or doctoral students from at least two of the faculty's departments. Funds can be used for invited lecturers and guests, organisation of seminars and smaller conferences and so on, but not for salaries.

It is possible to apply for a smaller grant, but please note that the event should always benefit at least two departments and future collaborations. We are now inviting applications for activities to take place in 2025. We plan to allocate about half of the total amount in February and to launch a second call for the autumn semester, in June. The use of funding must be reported back after the event.

Applications should include a brief description of the activity, the participating departments and a cost estimate. Overhead costs (OH) should not be included in the calculation.
