Call for research environment grants
Dear colleagues,
In the Faculty of Language ’operational plan for 2026, the Board has set aside a total of SEK 250,000 to promote interdepartmental research activities. Faculty staff and researchers, including doctoral students, can apply for grants of up to SEK 50,000. The funds are to be used to organise research activities involving researchers and/or doctoral students from at least two of the faculty's departments. Funds can be used for invited lecturers and guests, organisation of seminars and smaller conferences and so on, but not for salaries.
It is possible to apply for a smaller grant, but please note that the event should always benefit at least two departments and future collaborations. The funds must be used to cover costs for the activity itself and for refreshments or equivalent, and normally not for representation or dinners.

The use of funding must be reported back after the event. Applications should include a brief description of the activity, the participating departments and a cost estimates. The estimate must also specify the estimated costs for refreshments.
Overhead costs (OH) should not be included in the calculation.
