As teachers we need to accommodate students with disabilities. This means that we should give these students the same chances to learn as other students.
In this seminar we will mention common disabilities that affect learning and individual accommodations that students can get from Uppsala University. However, the focus will be on teacher strategies that support effective learning and how to create learning opportunities that fits as many students as possible.
This seminar will be held in English. You do not need to register to attend, but if you want “fika” send an e-mail to tur-teknat@uu.se no later than April 8.
This seminar is part of TUR’s series on “Inclusive teaching”:
Students with disabilities: Improve your teaching by taking into account common barriers to learning.
International classroom: Manage challenges and possibilities with international students and faculty.
Gender in the science classroom: Develop strategies for adapting a gender-inclusive environment.
Welcome,
Marcus Lundberg and Nic Timneanu (TUR)
