Pedagogisk kvart - Three decades of pedagogical uncertainty

Pedagogisk kvart (pedagogical quarter of an hour) is TUR's series with short lectures on current topics concerning teaching (in English, no registration needed).

On September 24 at 15.15, Stefan Pålsson (Department of Information Technology) will give a talk with the title:
Three decades of pedagogical uncertainty

My teaching experience now stretches over three decades (it’s actually almost four decades when I check). One might think that this experience implies pedagogical certainty and confidence in my teaching, but no, not really. I’m of course more confident now than when I started, but uncertainty I still lurking in the background. On the other hand, I believe that’s a good thing, it makes me reflect on what I’m doing and it keeps me on my toes in the classroom.

I will share some of my experiences, thoughts and also feelings (and maybe even regrets) related to my teaching experiences over the years. I will hopefully also be able to reveal a few things I feel is and has been important in teaching.

The talk is about 15 minutes long, with room for questions afterwards. The venue is the event space on the ground floor of the Ångström lab, House 10. Welcome!
