Appointment of section deans

At the meeting of the Electoral Assembly on 20 May, a decision was taken to appoint section deans at the Faculty of Science and Technology.

On 20 May, the Electoral Assembly of the Faculty of Science and Technology decided to appoint the following section deans, who are also members of the Disciplinary Domain Board/Faculty Board, for the period 1 July 2026–30 June 2029:

• Lina von Sydow (Professor at the Department of Information Technology) as section dean of the Mathematics and Computer Science Section (re-elected).
• Maxim Zabzine (Professor at the Department of Physics and Astronomy) as section dean of the Physics Section (re-elected)
• Klas Hjort (Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering) as section dean of the Engineering Section (re-elected)
• Mikael Widersten (Professor at the Department of Chemistry for Life Sciences) as section dean of the Chemistry Section (newly elected)
• Mattias Jakobsson (Professor at the Department of Organismal Biology) as section dean of the Biological Section (re-elected).
• Alireza Malehmir (Professor at the Department of Earth Sciences) as section dean of the Earth Sciences Section (newly elected)
