Awards and grants within the Disciplinary Domain of Science and Technology:

Five new researchers at Teknat have been selected for the Wallenberg Scholars programme funded by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation:

Susanne Höfner, Professor of Theoretical Astrophysics at the Department of Physics and Astronomy.

Annica Black-Schaffer, Professor of Quantum Matter Theory at the Department of Physics and Astronomy.

Peter Oppeneer, Professor of Physics at the Department of Physics and Astronomy

Maria Strömme, Professor of Nanotechnology at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering.

Johan Åqvist, Professor of Theoretical Chemistry at the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology.

Three mathematicians are receiving grants within the framework of the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation's mathematics programme:

Doctoral student Linnéa Gyllingberg at the Department of Mathematics, Uppsala University, receives funding for a postdoctoral position abroad.

Uppsala University will also receive funding to recruit Professors Marco Martens, Stony Brook University, New York, USA, and Ezra Getzler, Northwestern University, Illinois, USA, as visiting professors.
