To stimulate collaboration with our strategic partner organisations, researchers at the Faculty of Science and Technology (Teknat) now have the opportunity to apply for additional funding for research collaboration.

- The ambition is to catalyse more research collaborations between Teknat researchers and our strategic partner organisations. This is part of stimulating broader and more active collaborations in the partnerships in general, says Marcus Lindahl, Vice Dean for Collaboration at the Faculty of Science and Technology.

The application process for the Faculty's funds follows the one for VFS and you as a researcher apply in the same way. If you collaborate with a partner organisation, you can receive funding from this call and from VFS for two different projects. You cannot apply for both funds for the same project.

The Faculty of Science and Technology Board has allocated funds for collaboration with our strategic partner organisations for 2024 and 2025. The activity is a pilot that will be evaluated.

Calls for proposals

  • Funding for 2024
Deadline for applications: 17 June 2024.
    Decision by 15 September

  • Funds for 2025
    August 20, application opens.
October 16, deadline for the first draft
    Decision in February 2025.

Verification for collaboration - Strategic partnerships within Teknat

  • The assessment criteria for VFS - Strategic Partnerships within Teknat are the same as for Verification for Collaboration (VFS), but the researcher must be employed by the Faculty of Science and Technology and collaboration must take place with organisations with which the university has a strategic partnership agreement.
  • You apply to the Teknat funding in the same way as you apply for Verifiering för samverkan (VFS),
  • Researchers can apply for funding from both VFS and VFS - strategic partnerships within Teknat but for different projects/sub-projects.
  • The funds from VFS and VFS - strategic partnerships within Teknat cannot finance the same project or subproject.
  • The maximum amount granted is 300,000.
  • The Faculty of Science and Technology has allocated a total of 800 TSEK for 2024 and 1000 TSEK for 2025.
