Awards, prizes, grants and appointments in the field of science and technology:
Ian Snowball, Professor in Quaternary Geology at the Department of Earth Sciences, has received the Elder Gustaf Adolf Medal in Gold
Giuliano Di Baldassarre, Professor in Environmental Analysis at the Department of Earth Sciences, has been awarded the Volker Medal
Michael Landreh, Senior Lecturer in Molecular Biophysics at the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology, has received the Svedberg Prize 2025
The Faculty has been awarded two Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Networks: one for Print4Life, led by Cecilia Persson, which will train 17 PhD students in additive manufacturing and bioprinting, and one for Climes, led by Gabriele Messori, where PhD students will develop their knowledge of the effects of climate extremes, among other things.
Gabriele Messori, Professor in Meteorology at the Department of Earth Sciences, has also been elected as the new President of the Young Academy of Sweden as of 23 May.
