Anna Qvarnström, Professor of the Department of Ecology and Genetics, has been awarded the Rosén Linnaeus Prize.

Malin Göteman, Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, has been appointed director of the new research institute on green energy transition within Uppsala University Future Institutes (UUniFI), the University’s new research initiative.

Two researchers at Teknat have been awarded ERC Consolidator Grants 2025: Gabriele Messori, Professor of Meteorology at the Department of Earth Sciences, for the project DYCLEX, and Qinghua Lei, Associate Professor of Geohydrology at the Department of Earth Sciences, for the project FORECAST.

Mats Daniels, Senior Professor at the Department of Information Technology, is the project manager of the graduate school LärA-AI – Teachers’ Work Environment in the Age of GenAI, which has received funding of nearly SEK 49 million from the Swedish Research Council.

Senior Professor Mats Daniels and Professor Åsa Cajander at the Department of Information Technology have also been awarded NOK 16.3 million each for their respective NordForsk projects on the procurement of AI in healthcare and the work environment, and on education and the impact of AI.
