Annica Black-Schaffer, Professor of Quantum Matter Theory at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, has been elected as a new member of the class for physics by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.

Johan Elf, Professor of Physical Biology at the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology, has been elected Fellow of IVA’s Basic and Interdisciplinary Engineering Sciences Division.

Gabriele Messori, Professor of Meteorology at the Department of Earth Sciences, has been elected president of the climate division of the European Geosciences Union (EGU). He will take up the post for the 2027–2029 term.

UTN’s Pedagogical Prize 2025 goes to Benjamin Meco, doctoral student at the Department of Mathematics, for his engaged and thoughtful approach to teaching mathematics.
