International sabbatical

If you have a permanent position at our faculty, you can apply for a stipend for a international sabbatical.

A university lecturer or professor holding a permanent position is invited to apply for a maximum of SEK 500 000 for a stay abroad.

The length of stay must be between three and six months. An agreement (utlandsstationering, URA) has to be set up by the home institution.

Last date to apply are March 15 and October 15 2024.

What can the funding be used for?

Travel costs, to and from the receiving institution, one vacation trip home (max one trip during the stay), costs of living at the receiving destination, costs for school or child care and other costs (accompanying person and children), costs at the home institution in case they need to find a substitute for teaching and supervision.

How to apply

Send the application via e-mail.The application constituting one pdf including project plan, plan for the return to the home institution, invitation from the hosting institution, cv, covering or supporting letter from the home institution and budget (download budget tmall Excel, 14 kB.). The proposals will be assessed by the faculty advisory committee on research and the resulting recommendation will be followed by a suggested decision by the working committé, arbetsutskottet AU.
