Humboldt Research Award to Honorary Doctor Professor Dr. Sujata Patel

The 2023 Honorary Doctor of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Professor Dr. Sujata Patel, has been awarded the prestigious Humboldt Research Award, which is given to international researchers in recognition of their achievements. In addition to a personal prize of €60,000, the winners are invited to carry out research projects of their choice. The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation sponsors outstanding international scientists and scholars regardless of their academic discipline and maintains an international network of academic cooperation.

The Research Awards have been a central pillar of the Foundation's sponsorship activities since 1972. Many laureates have subsequently been awarded a Nobel Prize.
