Credit course on smart knowledge asset management
Regardless of your research field, understanding your knowledge assets and how to manage them effectively is crucial. This is precisely what UU Innovation's course, Strategic management of research results, offers. The course will be held in October 2024, carrying 3 ECTS credits, and registration is open until 30 August.
The course provides both knowledge and practical tools to systematically and strategically manage research results while identifying opportunities to utilise them. By exploring various types of knowledge assets generated from research – ranging from inventions and software to datasets and methods – the course offers a comprehensive overview of how to create additional value from your research.
Intellectual property is a key focus of the course, given its role in controlling the use of research results. However, it is also placed within the broader context of research strategy and innovation. As a participant, you will have the opportunity to delve into areas most relevant to your field, such as patents or copyright.

The Strategic management of research results course is open to doctoral students and researchers from all parts of the University. For doctoral students, it is credit-bearing, equivalent to 3 ECTS credits within their research education. The course is offered by UU Innovation, with Nhils Forslund as one of the course leaders.

The Strategic management of research results course consists of three half-day seminars. For the autumn semester of 2024, the sessions are scheduled for 7, 14, and 21 October, from 09:15 to 12:00. Spaces are limited, and the deadline for registration is 30 August.
