Processing of Personal Data in Primula
Primula is the University's support system for payroll and personnel administration. The system handles information about people who are or have been employed or otherwise engaged by Uppsala University. The personal data processed are names, personal identity numbers, contact and address details, AKKA ID and information about employment, skills, leave, illness, holidays, remuneration, pensions, etc.
The purpose of the processing is to be able to pay the correct salary to you as an employee. No personal data is transferred to third countries (countries that are not members of the EU or EEA). Basic personal data such as name and e-mail address may be transferred to related systems for which the HR department and the University are responsible, in order to facilitate your use of the systems.
Transfer and processing of personal data
When logging in to Primula via Uppsala university's identity management service, Join Web Login, unique identifier is being transferred from Join Web Login to Primula to ensure that you as a user get access to legitimate information in Primula and can work in the system.

In addition to direct personal data, indirect personal data are also transferred, such as which organisation the user belongs to.
Other processing of personal data within the service
Primula saves technical logs for troubleshooting and security related incidents. These technical logs contain information about all a user do at the system incl. the unique identifier.
Transfer of personal data to third parties
No personal data are transferred to third parties.
Lawful basis
Personal data is handled based on the lawful basis of contract and legal obligation. The personal data must be transferred to give users access to login-protected information needed for their work at Uppsala university or in collaboration with Uppsala university.
Right of access, right of rectification and right of erasure of personal data
Personal data handled in Primula is automatically corrected based on the personal data transferred from the Uppsala University
authorization system (AKKA).

Personal data is purged when it is no longer used by the identity management service or connected services, or as long as required by law.
