This seminar series, hosted by UU Innovation, is designed for researchers at all stages of their careers and across all research disciplines. Through two seminars, we will explore the importance of research valorisation, the roles researchers can play, and practical steps to transform research findings into societal benefits.
Research valorisation
Research valorisation is the process of capturing value from research by making scientific insights available and useful to industry and society.

Seminar 1: Do research with impact in mind
This seminar focuses on the foundational aspects of research valorisation. We will delve into the motivations behind impactful research, explore diverse forms of impact, and discuss how to align your research with societal needs. Participants will gain insights into planning for impact and understanding the broader implications of their work.

Seminar 2: Valorisation from A to Z
This seminar provides practical guidance on how to move from research to real-world impact. We will cover the integration of scientific and valorisation approaches, the importance of controlling intellectual assets, and strategies for making good use of them. Participants will also learn about funding opportunities for valorisation activities and available support for valorisation and innovation.
