Share your results
When you get results from your project, you need to disseminate them to the scientific community and perhaps also communicate them to the outside society. You may also want to communicate them to the general public. Sometimes you can exploit the results through commercialisation.
Disseminate your research
Uppsala University Library supports you in open access publishing and other publication issues, as well as how you can reach out in social- and other types of media.
If you need help with language reviews, translation, illustrations or posters, engage a company with which the University has a framework agreement. They are listed in the framework agreement database.
Under Communications and marketing, you will find other useful tools for disseminating your research.

Press releases
The University’s press unit can help communicate your research, for example with press releases about new research findings. They can also advice on contacts with media and other means of access to Swedish and foreign media.

Graphic design
If you want to produce printed or digital material, you can engage one of the companies procured by Uppsala University. You will find writers and photographers in the framework agreement database.
The visual guidelines are our tool for strengthening the identity and visibility of Uppsala University as the source of communications. All Uppsala University employees must comply with these graphic guidelines.

Wikipedia
One way of spreading your research findings is to write about it on Wikipedia, for instance in connection with a press release about your results.

Outreach
As a researcher you can take part in and present your work in outreach events such as Scifest, podcasts or popular science lectures. Some funders/programs (e.g. the EU) even require participation in outreach activities. Please contact the organisers of these events for more information.
Studio Blåsenhus is available for producing a podcast or making a film.

Exploit your research
Developing new or improved policies, methods, products or services from your project’s research results can be an excellent way to increase the impact of your research. UU Innovation Partnership Office can provide support in identifying potential innovations and collaboration opportunities, through which your results can be exploited. For advice on how to validate the commercial potential of your results (for example by performing a market analysis or a patentability search),
contact UU Innovation.
The University also has a holding company – UU Invest – that invests in start-up companies developing research based ideas from Uppsala University.
