Exploitation of Results
According to the funding terms, each project party is obligated to exploit its Results up to four years from the end of the project. In this context, exploitation means using the Results in further research, developing product or process, creating a service or using for standardization activities. The obligation to exploit is a ‘best effort’ requirement, meaning that the university must undertake reasonable steps to exploit the results.
It can be assumed that most Results from HE-projects generated by researchers at the university will be exploited by being used in further research, although other forms of exploitation can of course occur and should be explored where possible.
To consider in regard of exploitation of Results:The department should ensure that researchers involved in a HE-project are informed of the obligation to exploit Results.
