Discussion and announcement redesign in Studium
Discussions and announcements will receive an updated appearance as well as new functionality.
On July 20th, discussions and announcements in Studium will be updated. Both the appearance and the interface will be changed.
Along with the new look, it will also be possible to create anonymous discussions, which has been a long-standing request from both students and teachers.
Examples:
New appearance
There will be a button to navigate between groups in group discussions. This will also show the number of unread posts in the group discussion.
You will be able to view the discussion replies in the classic inline view or in a new split view.
The split view opens each reply thread in the right tab.
Anonymous discussions
Discussions redesign will allow teachers to create anonymous discussions. This option displays when creating a new discussion for a course. By default this option is set to off.
When anonymity is turned on for a discussion, grading and groups are not supported.
The student's names and profile pictures will be hidden for everyone, including teachers and administrators.
