New in Studium: Improved collaboration
Collaborate in Word documents, Excel files och PowerPoint presentations with your students.
The Collaborations tool in Studium has received a new look and expanded functionality. Previously, it was possible to collaborate in Word documents, but now Excel files and PowerPoint presentations are also available as options.
To get started, the user (both teachers and students) must first log in to Office365, after which the collaboration can begin seamlessly through Studium.
This update simplifies group work and the creation of shared documents.
What is the Collaborations tool?
Collaborations is a tool in Studium that allows students and teachers to work together on a document simultaneously. The collaborative document is saved in real time in OneDrive, meaning that any changes made by one user are immediately visible to everyone sharing the document.
As a teacher, you have the ability to share Office files with specific students or student groups.
Students also have the option to create collaborative documents within their group spaces or via the tool in the course menu when it is visible.
Facts
- With this update, Collaborations will be added to the course menu for all courses in Studium. Those who do not want it to be visible can hide it via Settings > Navigation.
- You must log in to Office365 before you can create a collaboration.
- When you share a document via Collaborations in Studium, it becomes available in the recipient's OneDrive. Removing the sharing or deleting the collaboration does not revoke access to the document once it has been shared with a user.
