Oral examination – an Underutilized Pedagogical Resource?
Oral examinations have gained renewed relevance in the wake of discussions about increased opportunities for cheating associated with generative AI. This seminar will explore the possibilities and challenges of oral examinations, drawing on current research. We will also present concrete examples of how oral examinations can be implemented in a pedagogically sound way and reflect on how they can be adapted to different disciplinary contexts.
