Workshop: Developing a sustainable voice, 6 February
Welcome to a workshop in Swedish on 6 February at 9:00–12:00 on voice, breathing and vocal technique. Target group: researchers, teachers, leaders and doctoral students.
Most of us take being able to talk for granted, and rarely think about how we actually use our voice to do so. Your voice needs to last throughout your life – through colds and stress, and during long periods of use. You also need to talk in a way that allows you to be heard and understood. In many ways, your voice helps shape your message, with its quality, strength, tone, tempo, and variation. It is easily affected by attitudes and emotions such as nervousness, stress or confidence.
Some of the topics that will be covered:
• The voice's function and physiology
• The vital importance of breathing
• When the voice inspires confidence
• Vocal technique
• Speaking when you have a cold
• Stress and other emotions' effekct on the voice
• Exercises for developing and training your voice
