Don’t miss the shortcuts on the Staff Gateway

Once you have logged in to the Staff Gateway, you can unfold a shortcut menu by clicking on your name to the top right.
After logging in to the new Staff Gateway, you can access a quick menu containing shortcuts to some useful functions on the intranet.
The Staff Gateway is designed on the basis that you as an employee should log in, either via the button on the grey list below the page header or using the button in the top-right corner.
By logging in, you can customise the content based on your role and your own settings. Once you have logged in, four modules appear on the start page:
- My Pages
- My Tools
- My Events
- My News.
In those four modules, you will find materials based on your role and the settings you enter yourself on the intranet.
Shortcut to menu
After logging in to the Staff Gateway your name will also appear in the top-right corner as well as on all pages of the Staff Gateway. Clicking on your name will bring up a menu with some useful links. The fact that it can be accessed from all subpages is an added bonus, as you can then quickly access the menu regardless of the page you have browsed to.
The menu that unfolds after clicking on your name comprises the following options:
- My Pages
- My Tools
- My Profile Page
- Settings
- Log out.
When you click on My Pages, you unfold a list of the pages you follow. This is the same list you will find on the start page in the My Pages module once you have logged in. In this context, ‘following’ means that you are given a shortcut to the page in this list. Moreover, news and calendar events published on the page are displayed in the My News and My Events modules on the start page.
You can customise your list of pages under Settings.
My Tools unfolds a list of the tools you have selected. The list of tools is the same as the one you will find on the start page when you log in to the My Tools module.
You can customise the list of tools via the Staff Gateway start page directly in the My Tools module.
My Profile page will take you to your details in the University’s Directory, and a link on that page will allow you to edit your contact details. At the moment, the link is to the old intranet, but in the autumn 2024 the plan is that editing of contact details will be handled in the Staff Gateway.
Under Settings you can customise which pages of the Staff Gateway you want to follow – read more under My pages above.
If you Log out, the personalisation of the Staff Gateway will end and you will see a generic version of without any customisation to you or your role in the organisation.
