Nomination of Electoral College members representing ‘other employees’

The members representing ‘other employees’ are appointed by a selection committee consisting of six people. You can nominate people to the selection committee no later than 25 August 2025.
The Electoral College serves as the consultative assembly during the procedure for making proposals for the appointment of the Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor. The members who represent individuals with academic qualifications act as an electoral assembly for elections of faculty members to the University Board. The Electoral College must consist of 65 members.
The Rules of Procedure for Uppsala University state that eleven members are to be appointed from among the other employees. The eleven members are selected by a selection committee consisting of representatives of the other employees.
Criteria
To be able to nominate and be eligible for nomination in the category of ‘other employees’, the person must “be employed at Uppsala University and
- must have a permanent employment contract that comprises at least 50% of a full-time role at Uppsala University, and
- must not belong to a disciplinary domain’s body of academically qualified individuals."
It is possible to nominate more than one person, and also to nominate oneself.
You can nominate people to the selection committee until 25 August 2025.
