“The film shows a microcosm of student life with laughter, studying, friendship, tears and new ideas all happening in the same student corridor,” says David Nygren, Head of the Student Recruitment unit at the Communications Division, University Administration.

“Korridoren” had its first showing on 26 November at the Saco Student Fair, the biggest education fair in Sweden. The film is the third part of the campaign “Hela Sveriges universitet” which has performed very strongly with great reach and excellent engagement, according to David Nygren.

“Our previous films have been very well received. The first two films won gold in the Swedish Publishing Prize and the second film also won gold in the Mini Publishing Prize for excellent communication to a young audience."

Part of the campaign “Hela Sveriges universitet”

The film is part of the student recruitment campaign “Hela Sveriges universitet”, which started in 2022 and targets young adults who are thinking about starting to study. The Student Recruitment unit publishes short films on Instagram and YouTube as well as Tiktok and Snapchat to connect with interested people on their terms, and adapted to how the target audience receive the content.

“The films are primarily aimed at 18–25-year-olds in nearby regions where many of our students come from. The whole campaign is about showing how Uppsala University is a place where people with different backgrounds, dreams and perspectives encounter each other, and are enhanced by the encounter. It’s in those encounters that new ideas and opportunities are born,” says David Nygren.
