The second selection round for admissions to the spring semester’s courses and study programmes has now been completed. Compared with last year, the number of admissions has fallen for the entire University by 1.3% and for Campus Gotland by 4.7%.
The Medicine Programme and the Psychology Programme have the highest merit ratings in all selection groups. Among courses, both Psychology A and Business Studies A are in the top five (see below).
Nationally, 188,881 people have been admitted to at least one course or study programme according to the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR), which has published the results of the second selection round for admissions to the autumn’s courses and study programmes. Compared with last year, this is a decrease nationally by 4.3% or just over 8,500 people.
At Uppsala University, the number of admissions is 49,801, a drop of 1.3%. Campus Gotland has 4,755 admissions, a drop of 4.7% compared with the 2025 spring semester when Campus Gotland had 4,989 admissions after the second selection round.
Note that the statistics for Uppsala University refer to the number of admissions and not the number of admitted individuals, since an individual may be admitted to a number of courses and programmes. Therefore, when comparing with UHR’s statistics, note that they count the number of individuals, not the number of admissions.
