It’s time once again to nominate candidates for Uppsala University's most prestigious teaching awards. Nominate candidates by 10 March 2026.

Each year, Uppsala University presents five distinguished teaching awards for outstanding contributions in education at undergraduate and Master’s levels.

Four of the awards are focused on teachers in the following areas:

  • Theology, Humanities and Educational Sciences,
  • Law and Social Sciences,
  • Medicine and Pharmacy,
  • Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Technology.

The fifth award recognises educational achievements in an area chosen for special priority that year and is known as the Free Distinguished Teaching Award. In 2026, the theme of the free award is “Examination that promotes student learning”.
