Guidelines for anonymous examination codes of written examinations at the Faculty of Science and Technology
Supplement to the Guidelines for the Conduct of Written Examinations at Uppsala University (UFV 2015/185)
Adopted by the Faculty Board 2015-09-08
Foreword
Uppsala University has set down common guidelines for the conduct of written examinations at Uppsala University to apply as of autumn of 2015 (UFV 2015/185).
The present guidelines are a supplement to the common guidelines for Uppsala University and refer to the written examinations for students registered at the Faculty of Science and Technology. For the purpose of these guidelines examination means, in addition to a written examination at the end of a course, any examination taken during part of a course (test or equivalent), but not an examination or test taken as an entry requirement or a diagnostic test.
Anonymous examination codes
In accordance with the common guidelines for Uppsala University, the disciplinary domain board/faculty board may, if there are special reasons, decide that a particular examination be carried out without anonymous examination codes.
At examinations where examination places are booked through the Buildings Division’s Examinations Coordination Office, anonymous examination codes shall be used. At examinations where examination places are not booked through the Buildings Division, anonymous examination codes are not necessary. The reasons are to promote alternative forms of teaching as well as to limit the workload of performing continuous examinations and other alternative forms of examination for teachers and administrative staff.
