IT equipment

For those who need to place an order, there is a list of recommended IT equipment. If your department has specific needs or local regulations, it is possible to choose other equipment.

Regardless of which IT equipment is ordered, it must be approved by the head of department or the equivalent financial responsible person.

Support and questions

Support is provided for all computer models included in the recommended selection. For other products, support is limited.

If you need to report an issue or ask a question regarding your computer or phone, contact IT Support.

Note

Suppliers to the university have warned of longer delivery times and increased prices due to shortages of certain components. This mainly applies when you order IT equipment yourself through Proceedo.

If you order recommended IT equipment through UIT or have IT equipment as a service, UIT can deliver within 3 weeks.

Local regulations

Contact your head of department or the equivalent financial responsible person before placing an order to find out what local regulations and purchasing procedures apply in your organization.

Shared computer budget

If you work at the University administration, the shared computer budget applies, and you should order your IT equipment here.

The purpose of the recommended IT equipment is to provide well-functioning equipment for the university. Recommended IT equipment can be kept in stock and delivered more quickly. This increases the ability to provide better support and service for the IT equipment. It also simplifies inventory management and cost oversight for managers and employees.

The products have been selected based on the following criteria:

  • Good quality and functionality at a reasonable price.
  • An expected technical lifespan of approximately five years for computers and monitors.
  • Reliable support from the manufacturer throughout the entire lifespan.

If you have other needs, specify them in your order and you will receive assistance from an administrator to find products that meet your requirements.
