Recycling IT Equipment

Information regarding disposing, reusing and returning IT Equipment owned by Uppsala University

All employees can hand in laptops with chargers, phones, and tablets they no longer need for recycling. Drop-off points are located at BMC, Campus Gotland, Engelska Parken, and Segerstedthuset. Click here to find opening hours.

When you hand in your equipment, University IT Services will send it to our partner for reuse. If the equipment cannot be reused, it will be recycled.

Generally, you do not need to do anything before handing in your equipment. Exceptions may apply if you have handled sensitive information on your device (swedish).

Special Rules for Segerstedthuset

Desktop computers, monitors, and peripheral devices cannot be submitted to the Service Centre in Segerstedthuset. For these types of equipment, please refer to your local campus management or contact itsupport@uu.se.
