On February 28, you are organizing an event for early-career researchers at the Faculty of Science and Technology in Building 10 at the Ångström Laboratory. What is the event about?

“It’s about giving early-career researchers the opportunity to visit another research group for two to four months. The goal is to initiate new collaborations or continue existing ones, where AI plays a central role. We are providing funding to make this possible, covering costs such as salaries or other related expenses.”

Why have you chosen to focus on AI?
“The potential for using AI in research has increased significantly in recent years. Just look at examples like this year’s Nobel Prizes in Physics and Chemistry. Through this initiative, we aim to create opportunities to harness this potential.”

What do you hope to achieve with the event?
“Our hope is to foster research collaborations between new constellations that could grow into something significant. It’s also an opportunity to strengthen existing collaborations that might need a fresh injection of energy.”
