Anh Tung Nguyen, PhD student at the SysCon research group, has recently received two notable recognitions for his work in intelligent systems.

Anh Tung Nguyen has been awarded the Hans Werthén Scholarship from the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA). The scholarship will support his upcoming research visit to New York University, where he will continue his work in the field of intelligent systems. More information is available on IVA´s website.
In addition, Anh Tung Nguyen received the Best Paper Award at the 7th IEEE International Conference on Omni-layer Intelligent Systems (COINS 2025). The award recognizes the most outstanding scientific contribution presented at the conference.
- As I approach the final phase of my PhD, these recognitions have come at a meaningful time. They offer encouragement and reassurance that the direction I have taken in my research is worthwhile. I feel grateful and motivated to continue exploring new ideas and collaborations. I am especially thankful for the support and inspiration I have received from my colleagues at SysCon. It has made a real difference in my journey, says Tung.

- The Hans Werthén Scholarship, awarded by the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) through the Hans Werthén Foundation, is an international scholarship aimed at giving young academics the opportunity to grow through studies or research abroad.
- Best Paper Award: Anh Tung Nguyen, together with co-authors Binh Nguyen, Truong X. Nghiem, and Sungkyung Hong, received the award at the 7th IEEE International Conference on Omni-layer Intelligent Systems (COINS 2025). Title of the paper: "Collision-Aware Formation Control of Nano-Quadrotors: Theory and Experiments".
