CoRE AI (Africa-Europe Cluster of Research Excellence in Artificial Intelligence) is a research network that brings together universities from Africa and Europe. The aim is to strengthen research and postgraduate education in artificial intelligence (AI), data science, and computational thinking.

AI is used as a tool to address global societal challenges – such as climate change, food security, and social justice.

The cluster collaboration is led by an international group of researchers and is funded by seed money from universities within:

  • ARUA (African Research Universities Alliance)
  • The Guild (European Research-Intensive Universities)

Over the course of two months, the visiting researchers will take part in and contribute to ongoing projects in AI, data science, and computational thinking – while also experiencing the Swedish autumn.
