We welcome our new students to a reception held in English in our beautiful University Main Building.
As is tradition, we welcome all new students autumn 2025 to our beautiful University Main Building with a programme in the auditorium and a mini fair in the hallway.
The programme begins with a mini fair from 13:00 in the hallway outside the auditorium where you will have the opportunity to talk with our exhibitors at a (fairly large) mini exhibition in the entrance staircase. There you can meet representatives from our student nations, student unions, and useful university services such as the library and the student health services.
At 14:30 there will be a ceremony held in English in the main auditorium, with doors opening from 14:00. On stage you'll see, among others, the University's Vice-Chancellor. Entertainment will be provided by the Royal Academic Orchestra and the Uppsala University Jazz Orchestra.

Please note! No bags will be allowed in the building
Please be aware that you will not be allowed to bring bags or backpacks into the event. There will be limited opportunities for bag storage outside the building, so please carry what you need for a couple of hours in your pockets.
