Welcome to a lunch seminar where Uppsala University has invited Volvo Cars to talk about the challenges and opportunities they face in the technical transformation journey of their cars.
The car is rapidly becoming the data backbone for engineering, analytics and innovation. This puts high demands on performant data collection systems as well as predictive models, novel self-diagnostics algorithms and smart systems.
Meet Betty Chuah and Michael Wallgren Fjellander from Volvo Cars Vehicle Data & Diagnostics and learn more. Betty has 23 years of experience from across the company, ranging from R&D, commercial operations, international assignments, data, analytics, business partners and more. She is currently working as Team Manager for the teams responsible for data collection systems. Michael started Volvo Cars’ Global Graduate Talent Programme in 2020, where he worked with diagnostics, innovation & rapid prototyping, business analytics and international collaborations. He is currently working as Advanced Engineering Lead, responsible for research, academic collaborations and innovation.
This seminar is part of the strategic partnership between Uppsala University and Volvo Cars. The partnership aims at bringing the University and the company closer together within a wide range of activities, including research and connecting with students.
