Win a ticket to the Donning of the Caps at Carolina Rediviva
The Donning of the Caps is the peak of the Walpurgis celebrations in Uppsala.
At 3 p.m. on April 30, the Vice-Chancellor and guests stand on the balcony at Carolina Rediviva, raises their student caps and waves to the crowd.
Now you have the chance to stand on the balcony too!
Enter the competition where you can win a ticket for you and a guest, to participate in the reception at Carolina Rediviva and stand on the balcony on April 30.
Competition criteria
- You must be a student at Uppsala University during the spring semester of 2026. Write your name and what you are studying.
- Write an answer to the question: What does Uppsala University Library mean to you? The text can be a maximum of 500 characters, including spaces.
- Email your text to: tavling@ub.uu.se, no later than 7 April 2026.
- The Library reserves the right to use submitted entries in its communications.
- The winner will be selected by lottery by Library Director Johanna Hansson together with the competition committee.
The winner will be contacted by email no later than 9 April 2026 and will collect their ticket, as agreed with Johanna Hansson at Carolina Rediviva.
Winning the prize entails consenting to appear in photos and videos in the Library's communications.
