Data from Uppsala University has been leaked from Studium

It has now been confirmed that data from Uppsala University has been leaked from the Canvas learning platform, which has been hacked. Canvas is the system on which Uppsala University’s learning platform, Studium, is based. According to the provider, Studium is secure and can be used as normal.

The information that may have been compromised includes names, email addresses and messages exchanged between users. The provider is currently investigating the extent of the breach. Uppsala University is monitoring the investigation in consultation with the provider.

There is no evidence that passwords have been compromised, but if you have a guest account, we recommend that you change your password. Other users do not need to take any action regarding their login details and can log in as usual. We will provide further information as soon as possible.
