Free crash course: learn how to skate and play bandy

10 December 2018

Happy students with helmets at the bandy crash course.

Uppsala University and Uppsala’s leading bandy club, Sirius Bandy, invite all our international students to come and take part in a four-part beginner’s course in bandy with professional instructors. No previous skills are needed and you can borrow the equipment needed – skates, helmet & club

Bandy is probably the most Swedish sport you will find, with a special history in Uppsala where the national finals have been played every year from 1991 to 2012. And in March 2018 the final came back to the town, where it belongs!

The course consists of four training sessions with professional instructors who will teach in English. As a grand final we will arrange a real bandy match. Participation is completely free of charge – all you need is a warm training outfit and warm skiing gloves or similar.

The course has 30 places available. Sign up here.

Be quick if you want to be sure to get a place on the course, last year all places were taken within a day!
