We invite you to learn to hike with a map and compass so you can find your way out in the nice Swedish nature on your own. The event is a collaboration between the Swedish Tourist Association (Svenska Turistföreningen – STF) and the Student Health Service at Uppsala University.

We use a map and compass to find our way in nature, for example, along a hiking trail or on paths. At the meeting, we will talk about: What a map and compass are, how they are used, what you need to consider to avoid getting lost, and how to find your way back if you do get lost.

You need to be able to walk a few kilometers along paths and wear clothes according to the weather. We are outdoors all the time. Bring your own compass if you have one. We will stop for a fika so bring something to eat and drink and something to sit on.

The instructions are held in easy Swedish (but not in english), so this event is more sutible for you who can understand some Swedish. You're of course welcome to join anyway without understanding Swedish.

Maximum 10 participants. Sign up for the event by 16 May.
