Are you curious to try varpa? Then this is the perfect opportunity, as experienced Varpa players will give you an introduction to this ancient Gotland sport.

Varpa is a traditional Swedish precision sport, similar to boules, where the aim is to throw a flat stone or metal varpa as close to a target stick as possible. The sport, which is best known on Gotland, is played individually or in teams and requires skill, precision, and sometimes strength, but also has a strong positive spirit and sense of community.
All levels welcome! From those who have never tried varpa before to those who may have played before.
After a short period of practice, you will have the opportunity to take part in a simple (but prestigious) student championship in varpa, if you wish.
Wear comfortable clothing suitable for the weather.
This activity is held in collaboration with Gotlands nation's Gutnian Sports and Uppsala Varpa Club.
Contact the responsible leader on site: Henrik Lavergren, henrik.varpa@gmail.com, Edvin Nilsson, grauteedvin@gmail.com.
Maximum 16 participants. Register by 21 September or as long as there are places available using this form.
The activity is carried out in collaboration with the Student Health Service at Uppsala University. Find out more about the Student Health Service's activities on the Student Health Service's website.
