About the course

This course focuses on developing your ability to dimension adaptation networks for radio frequency components in embedded systems using circuit models, S-parameters, and Smith charts. You will learn to identify and describe various types of amplifiers, and design and evaluate radio frequency amplifiers with accompanying circuit boards. Measurement techniques for radio frequency amplifiers, concepts within power combining, and industrial applications of microwave power will be explored.

The course content also covers transmission line theory, impedance matching methods, amplifier classes such as harmonic terminated power amplifiers and Doherty power amplifiers, as well as circuit board construction. Upon completion of the course, you will be well-equipped to apply this knowledge to microwave power and circuit board design in industrial contexts.
