About the course
This course is intended for you, who is an employee at a prospecting company or a job seeker with a background in geophysics, physics or Earth sciences and who would like to have updated competence in geophysical electromagnetic prospecting methods with measurements from aircraft, on the ground surface and in boreholes. Standard prospecting methods are introduced starting from first principles, compared as to their applicability for different types of mineral deposits and illustrated using case studies published in the literature. There is particular emphasis on borehole electromagnetic methods.
Outline for distance course: Teachers and students communicate through an online teaching platform and an e-meeting platform. Access to a computer with a stable and sufficiently fast internet connection and a webcam is required to participate in the course.
Applicants for this course need to submit a statement of purpose (1 page) at universityadmissions.se. Your statement of purpose should explain your motivation for applying for the course, your previous education, work experience and other relevant experience.
