About the course
The course includes an overview of the Northeastern Neo-Aramaic dialects, their distribution, characteristics and position in the Aramaic language family. It also includes the reading and linguistic analysis of textual material in some selected Northeastern Neo-Aramaic varieties, both spoken and literary, and the transcription of simple recordings in these varieties.
Outline for distance course: The course is IT-based and taught via the university's learning platform Studium and the video platform Zoom. You need access to a computer with speakers, a microphone, and a broadband connection to follow the course.
