About the course
This course explores how literature in English has responded to and interrogated risks, dangers, and concepts of security. It situates literary text from various places and periods in relation to such cross-disciplinary concepts as risk, resilience, vulnerability, and precarity, but also survival and care. It investigates as well whether literature offers avenues for alternative ways of imagining the world.
