About the course
Contemporary music making poses many challenges to traditional concepts and understanding of music. In this course we study music from recent decades, drawing on case studies and phenomena which are analysed with tools and theories from musicology and other disciplines of the humanities. Different forms of expression, media, aesthetics and compositional processes are studied in the light of contemporary discourses and perspectives.
