Content
Basic nuclear physics, nuclear decay, radioactivity, the biological effects of radiation, nuclear reactions, fission, fusion, the most important applications of nuclear physics, i.e. nuclear medicine, nuclear power, nuclear weapons, the nuclear fuel cycle, waste disposal, transmutation.
Instruction
IT-based individual distance studies. One introduction day. A study visit to Studsvik or the students themselves have to organise study visits to a reactor as well as to a hospital department working with some type of cancertherapy.
